Daytrippers is a grassroots, Toronto-based charity run  by volunteers. As a relatively small organization, volunteers can participate in a number of ways – vetting trip applications, securing fundraising, or running our social media channels, to name a few.

All volunteer positions are designed for young professionals with busy lives. We ask volunteers to make a one year commitment and they can expect to offer an average of 1-2 (very flexible) hours per week of their time. Committee meetings are usually virtual and take place outside of normal business hours… there are also lots of opportunities to get together with the whole group, to network and have some fun.

As a volunteer, you will:

• Make a difference. You can have a direct impact on the life of a child. Many volunteers find that creating positive change by helping kids participate in enriching learning experiences can be very fulfilling.
• Develop new skills. Want to try something new? Interested in building skills that can also support you in your professional career?  Apply your skills, gain some new ones, and develop valuable leadership experience along the way.
• Grow your network. Your fellow volunteers, Board of Directors and our professional and personal donors all become part of your personal and professional networks. 
• Make our good work even better. Through participation with your committee and by attending meetings and events, your input helps us continuously improve both the childrens’ and volunteers’ experience.
